Only persons who hold an earned doctorate or Fellowship of a reputable professional body, who also have published works to their credit can apply to be considered. The works submitted are assessed by peers at a panel. Candidates are further required to make a prescribed submission on the subject of Management Consulting to fulfil the degree validation and accreditation requirements for the CMC certification.[/bsf-info-box]

Experienced managers with considerable in-service training may also be accepted. Duration of the programme is 24 to 48 months depending on the student’s background. Transfer candidates from other degree programmes or candidates already holding full professional qualifications in related disciplines are similarly welcome. Candidates who hold degree level qualifications such as chartered accountants, chartered bankers, HND, etc, but who still wish to acquire a bachelor’s degree in their discipline may be granted credit for each unit of the degree course previously covered in their professional examinations. The candidate is then required to study the remaining course units for the degree and any new optional courses he or she wishes to offer. The candidate then prepares a dissertation project to demonstrate competence in research methodology and report writing skills. Candidates will be required to complete the work on the lower degree before crossing over to the next higher degree.
